CHASING WATER FALLS
Kawasan Falls

Kawasan Falls is one of the top tourist spots in the south of Cebu. It is a three-stage cascade of clear turquoise water from the mountain springs of Mantalongon mountain range. Aside from its natural beauty, Kawasan Falls has also become famous because one of the most popular activities in Cebu is done here—Canyoneering. The canyoneering adventure starts at Canlaob river downstream going to Kawasan Falls. There are local accredited guides who accompany all tourists and facilitate activities at this tourist attraction in Cebu such as walking, jumping, swimming, climbing, and abseiling through the streams.
Dao Falls

Dao Waterfall offers not only an epic waterfall finale but it is the trek in that is truly astounding. For thirty minutes you wade through those trademark Cebu blues, while ferns and palms cover the canyon walls on either side. The trek to Dao Falls itself isn’t hard but it does require you to walk through the water and navigate your way around boulders and rocks.
Aguinid Falls

Aguinid Falls is one of the best places where you can immerse with the beauty of nature and at the same time experience that tingling rush of adrenaline. Tucked in the beautiful town of Samboan in the South of Cebu, Aguinid Falls offers a different take to your usual adventure. This rarely spoken jewel has 8 levels of cascading waters which you need to pass through in order to get to the top. It’s like hiking a mountain but instead of the usual forested trail, you will encounter gushing water as another obstacle which is essentially a factor to spice things up.
Tumalog Falls

Unlike Kawasan and Aguinid Falls, the beauty of Tumalog Falls is quite seasonal but be that as it may, its beauty still holds a candle to the other famous waterfalls in the Philippines. The safest time to visit Tumalog Falls is during the months of January to June, the dry seasons, but drought and other seasonal factors may also make the falls look quite underwhelming. To experience the beauty of the waterfalls at its fullest, it may be wise to visit between the early weeks of the rainy season to have a sufficient amount of waterfall that is safe and properly showcases the beauty of Tumalog.

Santa Fe Beach

Climb the Osmeña Peak
Dalaguete, South Cebu
Standing at 1,013 meters above sea level, Osmeña Peak is Cebu’s highest. The peak is one of several spire-like formations comprising the Mantalongon Mountain Range in Dalaguete. The town of Dalaguete is known as the “Vegetable Basket of Cebu” because of the crops it supplies to the whole province. The picturesque trail to Osmeña Peak is an easy leisurely hike that takes about 30 minutes to an hour. Once you reach the top of Osmeña Peak, you will be greeted by a stunning jagged skyline, a panoramic view of Cebu’s southeast coastline, and a glimpse of Negros. It can be windy at the peak, so take care not to lose your footing.
Swim with the Whale Sharks

It’s ironic — whale shark watching is very popular among tourists and yet only very few locals have actually experienced it. A lot of environmentalists may be against it, every Cebuano should take advantage while it exists. It’s a unique kind of experience in our province. Swimming with the whale sharks and taking selfies with them might be a challenge, but surely it is fun.
Canyoneering

The most famous attraction in Badian is Kawasan Falls, a three-tiered cascade that features distinctly turquoise water. There are two ways to explore the falls. One is by choosing from the various canyoneering escapades and have a journey for three to six hours from Alegria to Badian, and the other is by a short trek to the waterfalls.
Sardine Run

A staple in tourist spots in the province’s south-western coast, Moalboal is best known for its Sardine Run. Imagine swimming amidst millions of sardines in crystal clear waters.
